Imported Dental Implants

INPEO offers  a personalized and first world quality treatment.

The technology presented in the imported dental implants that we use presents a reduced time of bone integration.  Thus the rehabilitation of  this lost dental  element occurs  in a faster way comparing to any other dental implant.

The time for bone integration requires normally 12 to 24 weeks, although it can be reduced to 3 to 6 weeks.

Therefore your rehabilitation will occur faster, not compromising the good results and longevity  of this treatment.

Book your evaluation  and come  to experience  the excellence  in Imported Dental Implants.

Straumann Implants

The Straumann Implants were created  to offer trustful  stability, nonetheless the new solution for implants has a natural appearance .

Implantology: Total or partial implantation of lost or absent teeth.

What are dental implants?

They are Bone Integrable implants with customized screws made with pure titanium that can be placed inside the jawbone, working as a holder for different kinds of dental prosthesis : for a single tooth, of many teeth or even for all teeth. The patients tend to confuse implants with fixed prosthesis ; in fact, implants are done to replace the teeth roots, in cases of permanent damage or inability to recover them.

Is any patient able to do implants?

Practically all patients are able to do dental implants, except if they present some specific disease. Some factors may influence in the success of the treatment like smoking and diabetes, necessarily diagnosed previously. The Oral implant procedure is a surgery, therefore a proper evaluation is necessary before any surgical intervention.

Why some patients need bone grafting ?

The necessity for bone grafting is common. They can be done in a previous surgery, before the teeth implants and, in this case, the implants will be placed after the bone healing process in 6 to 12 months. When possible, the bone grafting is done in the same surgery where you put the implants.

it necessary to do any previous treatment before putting the dental implants?

In some cases it is. It must be eliminated any possible preexisting infectious process, that means, the periodontal treatment (gums), teeth extraction with spotted infections as well endodontic treatments ( root canal treatment) must be done previously. All this previously mentioned issues are part of the initial planning done by the specialist, this issues must be openly discussed with the patient before the beginning of the treatment.

Does it hurt to put dental implants ?

No. Obviously it is a surgical procedure and some edema is expected, especially in the first five days after surgery. The edema is proportional to the surgery level. Surgeries with bone grafting tend to provoke greater trauma. Although, there are some specific medication for post-surgical inflammation as well as antibiotics ( drugs that treat infections) and analgesics, that the surgeon may prescribe in case of necessity.

How long does the treatment take?

It depends on each case. After the placement, the implants remain resting from 2 up to 6 months, so the bone integration can naturally occur (fixation of the bone to the titanium), after that the implants are open and a dental prosthesis is attached to the implant through a secondary part named “abutment” or column. In situations when bone grafting is needed, the treatment becomes inevitably longer. In some specific cases, the dental prosthesis may be placed in the same day of the implant surgery.

Is there any risk of rejection ?

No. the probability of bone grafting is successfully high with many researches proving its efficiency, even after many years chewing.

Although there is a small possibility of the implant lost (no bone integration), about 2 to 3 % of the cases, normally right after the after surgery resting period. In these cases the implant is removed easily and a new implant can be replaced.

What would be the procedures after the treatment? Is there the possibility of complications related with the implants?

The implants, as the gum and the teeth, must be very well cleaned, making use of dental floss and tooth brush. Recommended by the dental-surgeon.

The main biological problem may be the peri-implantitis ( disease that damages the gum and the bone around the implant). It may occur other problems related to badly performed or planned treatments or implants placed in an unfavorable position. The bio mechanic complications mostly mentioned are the fracture or loosening of the small screws holding the dental prosthesis. Implant fractures may occur, although they are unusual. The most important thing is the patient’s regular attendance to follow up appointments to prevent or diagnose beforehand any alteration.
